Foggy Lake

Curator’s Note

Foggy Lake reflects the beauty of landscapes that reveal almost nothing and yet invite endless contemplation.

A distant shoreline emerges faintly through layers of mist while soft light rests upon the quiet surface of the water.

The composition exists in a space between presence and disappearance, where forms dissolve into atmosphere and certainty gives way to imagination.

Nothing demands attention. No narrative unfolds.

Instead, the artwork offers a rare sense of calm, encouraging the viewer to slow down and embrace the silence contained within the scene.

The lake becomes a metaphor for memory itself: distant, indistinct, and impossible to fully grasp, yet quietly present beneath the surface.

Part of the Shores of Memory Collection, this artwork explores stillness, distance, and the quiet beauty of what remains just beyond reach.
